The boards of Panathinaikos and Olympiakos decided, together with the Greek police, to not allow Panathinaikos fans to travel to the next away match against arch rivals Olympiakos. | First, the board of Panathinaikos requested the amount of tickets that they were allowed (5% of the stadium capacity which equals to approx. 1.650 tickets), but after pressure from the opposing team's management and local police force, they have decided to withdraw their legal request.
An agreement has been reached that no Olympiakos fans will be at Panathinaikos' home ground Apostolos Nikolaidis (Leoforos) for the second round of the Greek League.
The measures are part of the desperate attempts of the clubs to ban excessive violence from the Greek grounds. Nevertheless the fans don't agree. In their opinion the measurements only take away their legal right to travel at away games of their team. | <<< |
