In 1892, a rent dispute at Anfield Road caused some Everton players and members to leave the ground and find another one. They chose Goodison Park while the remaining club at Anfield was forced by the League to change their name from Everton Athletic Grounds Ltd to Liverpool because they did not want two clubs with the name Everton.

Other : Everton's Goodison Park is situated two miles north of Liverpool City Centre, opposite Stanley Park. Take any train from Liverpool Central which is heading for Ormskirk or Kirkby and alight at Kirkdale. From there it's a 10 minute walk to the ground. Lime Street Railway Station is 3 miles from Goodison Park.

Other : From Lime Street Railway Station it is a 2 mile walk to the stadium.
