Atlético Mineiro won the Belo Horizonte´s derby against Cruzeiro by 2-0. The match was played for the Minas Gerais State Championship.
Rodrigo Fabri scored the first goal (31') by punishing a defensive mistake. Three minutes later, George perfectly crossed and Euller appeared alone in front of the goalkeeper to score the second goal.
Cruzeiro tried to attack in the second half but the Atletico defenders showed their strength.
Taking into account the three last victories against the rival in 2004, Atletico has won four derbies on a row now. This is the biggest winning streak since 1977.
