Which Manchester team will win the Premier League title this season?

Manchester City and Manchester United make up two of the top three heading into matchday 6 of the 2015-16 Premier League season, and they are the two favourites in most football tips by bookmakers on winning the title this season, especially after Chelsea's shaky start.

The Citizens have made a blistering start to the season in taking maximum points without conceding a single goal, including a 3-0 thrashing of Chelsea.  Manuel Pellegrini’s side have a healthy four-point lead over Leicester City in second place.

United themselves have taken 10 points from a possible 15, dropping points to Newcastle United (0-0) and Swansea City (1-2).  Both sides have a healthy lead over the defending champions with Chelsea only taking four points to start the season.

Anyone who thinks Chelsea still have a chance in the title race should probably take advantage of a free bet offer from Paddy Power or a similar offer from other bookmakers (see BettingExpert.com for all the reviews) - you'll want to minimise your downside if you're betting against the title going to Manchester.

Both sides splashed a bit of cash over the summer. The addition of Raheem Sterling in the Manchester City side has given them good threat down the left wing with his pace. The former-Liverpool youngster has already found himself through on goal a few times as well as creating a good partnership with Aleksandar Kolarov down the left wing.

Kevin De Bruyne was a mega signing too – the Belgian international scored 10 goals and recorded 20 assists in his 34 German Bundesliga appearances for VfL Wolfsburg this season. It's very early days in terms of his Manchester City career but he has added another goalscoring threat to the midfield that arguably Jesus Navas, nor James Milner previously offered.

Defensively, Manchester City have yet to be put under any real pressure this season, but both West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace saw some good sights at goal, they just never took the chance. Midweek, Juventus put two past the Premier League side – last season's Champions League finalists have only scored two goals in 270 minutes of Serie A football so far this season.

For Manchester United, Louis van Gaal has invested heavily once again this summer. Wayne Rooney is yet to produce in five Premier League games, and whilst Anthony Martial scored a terrific goal versus Liverpool on his debut, he was virtually anonymous in the surprise Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday. It's very early days for the youngster.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin have added some much-needed protection to the defence, as well as both players being good in possession of the ball and offering a little bit of a threat going forward.

Defensively, renewing David de Gea's contract was massive for the Red Devils and Matteo Darmian looks like an excellent acquisition at right-back.

If the Premier League comes down to a race between these two, which one stands the best chance of going all the way? Manuel Pellegrini has done it before and he has an attack that is capable of outscoring most teams on their day.

Manchester United have yet to prove they can outscore teams as they continually fail to create a whole host of chances in games. Still not convinced by Louis van Gaal, we think Manchester City are the team to beat in the 2015-16 Premier League season...
